Thankful Thursday ~ Cole’s Healthcare Journey
When Cole was 11 years old, he was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia. Never a diagnosis anyone wants to face especially a young boy and his family.
After meeting with a team at the KIDZ Pediatric Multispecialty Practice in Boca Raton, FL, they recommended that Cole seek specialized care at Boston Children’s Hospital so he could have the best possible outcome and care for his rare form of Leukemia.
Since his mom’s first call in February of 2015, Angel Flight NE has been supporting Cole and his family by coordinating free flights on JetBlue so he can travel safely & comfortably to Boston from Florida and back home.
Cole’s mother Denise shared:
“Thank you so much for always being there for us!!!! And for the wonderful relationship with JetBlue! You all have made a profound positive impact on our lives!!!!”
Flights like Cole’s that require patients to travel longer distances for care and treatment would not be possible without the compassion of JetBlue who donates unlimited seats on their airline for our patients and families, but also the support of the Alexion Charitable Foundation that is bringing promise, hope, and belonging to people affected by rare
disease.
