Partners & Donors Provide Frequent Trips for NH Patient to MD

The Summer of 2022 has certainly been a busy one for everyone – especially the team at Angel Flight NE Headquarters!

We are thrilled to have the ability to help patients in ways we haven’t in the past with the support of groups like the Alexion Charitable Foundation and continued support from our aviation partners like JetBlue & Cape Air ♥!

This week  we’d like to share an update on Adam. His story was first shared in our newsletter in February 2020. We fell in love with that smile when his mother Brittany shared a picture in 2020 (pictured with many JetBlue crew members) and they did not disappoint with another adorable photo shared this past June (above).

Adam from Brookline, NH suffers from a genetic disorder called Osteogenesis Imperfecta, also known as brittle bone disease. Adam’s condition frequently requires him and his parents to travel to Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, MD to receive treatment and meet with his medical team. As you can imagine, not only from a scheduling perspective but also the cost of traveling via commercial airlines can be overwhelming for any family these days, and even more overwhelming for a family of seven on a limited budget.

Brittany, Adam’s mother shared:
“Just wanted to say thank you so much to you all at Angel Flight NE for helping us get to and from Adam’s appointments! I took a photo of Adam with Nicole (one of the supervisors at MHT) who helped us and was wonderful. The schedule worked out great getting to/from his appointments. Thanks again!”

Having generous partnerships as well as supporters is vital to our ability to help patients and their families, like Adam. We bridge the gap between distance and the specialized medical care they need.

Adam’s journey is just one example of how our mission with the support of our amazing volunteer pilots, corporate partners, and generous donors, such as you, is making a difference in the lives of our patients and their families. We are truly blessed!

As with all of our patients, Adam is forever a part of the Angel Flight NE family. Mission/Flight requests – like Adam’s – happen daily and we are privileged to have the opportunity to not only fly but deeply care for all who turn to us for help at difficult times in their lives. We are here for Adam & his family for as long and as often as they need our help and to ensure the best possible outcome.

Thank You and God Bless You for your support and belief in our healing mission. With your help and belief in our mission, we are able to ensure that distance is never an obstacle for patients, like Adam.

Warmest regards,

Fr. Larry & the AFNE Staff
