Supporting Patients in the Air and on the Ground

Matthew

Volunteering with Angel Flight NE is a rewarding way to make a direct and meaningful impact in the lives of children, adults, veterans, and families who must travel for lifesaving medical care.

Every mission is made possible by compassionate volunteers who generously donate their time, talents, and resources. Whether you are a pilot, Earth Angel, event volunteer, community advocate, or office volunteer, your support helps ensure that distance is never a barrier to care.

No matter how much time you can give—an hour, a day, or a few opportunities throughout the year—your contribution makes a difference.

Volunteer Pilots & Mission Assistants

Angel Flight NE’s mission is powered by more than 300 volunteer pilots who donate their time, aircraft, fuel, and compassion to help patients reach critical medical care free of charge.

Our pilots come from all backgrounds but share a common passion for aviation and helping others. For many, volunteering combines the joy of flying with the opportunity to transform lives.

Earth Angels

Earth Angels are dedicated volunteers who provide transportation between airports, hospitals, treatment centers, and lodging facilities. Often, they are the first friendly face a patient sees after a long day of treatment.

By donating their time, vehicles, and fuel, Earth Angels play a vital role in ensuring patients safely complete their journeys. To learn more about becoming an Earth Angel, contact info@angelflightne.org.

Maci

“One year ago, I flew a young patient named Maci and her mother. My wife joined me on the trip—her first Angel Flight mission. When we arrived, Maci and her mom were greeted by family members holding balloons, signs, and tears of joy. It was impossible not to be moved. A year later, I flew Maci again. This time I met a vibrant little girl full of energy and a mother filled with hope for her daughter’s future. People often ask why I fly Angel Flight missions. If I could simply show them those two photos, no words would be needed.”
