About Us
Compassion in the Clouds
Restoring hope and saving lives is at the heart of everything we do. For 30 years, Angel Flight NE has ensured that distance is never an obstacle to health. Through our dedicated network of volunteer pilots, ground crew, and commercial airline partners, we provide free air and ground transportation for patients who need access to specialized medical care across the U.S. and beyond.

Why We Fly
Since our first flight in 1996, our coordinators have scheduled over 115,000 flights. Whether it’s a child traveling for specialized burn treatment or a patient seeking a rare disease specialist, we ensure they get there at no cost. Since our first flight in 1996, our coordinators have arranged over 115,000 flights. Whether it’s a child traveling for specialized burn treatment or a patient seeking a rare disease specialist, we ensure they reach their destination at no cost. Today, approximately half of our passengers are children, and every flight represents a family given a second chance. Our Network of Heroes
This lifesaving work is powered by a dedicated community:
- Volunteer Pilots: Over 300 pilots who donate their own aircraft, fuel, and time.
- Commercial Partners: Leading airlines that provide seats when private flight isn’t an option. We thank our airline partners, Cape Air, JetBlue, and Southwest Airlines.
- Earth Angel Crew: Dedicated volunteers who bridge the gap between the tarmac and the hospital.
More Than Medical Appointments
Our reach extends beyond scheduled care. We provide critical humanitarian support, including transporting organs for transplant, delivering medical supplies during crises, and flying families to be with loved ones during medical emergencies.
