Where does my money go?We provide $5 in air transport services for every $1 raised.
A catastrophic illness can quickly exhaust a family’s
financial resources. Your donation to
Angel Flight NE will play an important role in helping to ease one of the
burdens that contributes to a family’s hardship: transportation to receive
diagnosis and life-saving treatment.
Volunteers
Angel
Flight NE relies heavily on the volunteer support of pilots across the
region. Our flight services are
provided by an active volunteer pilot base of nearly 1,000 who donate their
aircraft, the cost of fuel and their time.
Our Earth Angels provide ground transportation services for those who
need it.
Even with the wonderful
generosity of volunteers, Angel Flight NE must maintain and fund an extensive
ground operation.
Financial Support
Your financial donation helps
with:
- Flight Coordination - Every
flight requires coordinating the patients with the pilots who will fly
them.
- Every
flight requires coordinating the patients with the pilots who will fly
them.
- Flight
Coordination is accessible 24 hours a day, 360 days a year.
- Three full-time Flight Coordinators work solely to
- process new patient requests,
- schedule the flights to meet
the patient’s required schedule,
- recruit pilots to fly the
missions, and
- handle emergency requests, such as the delivery of a patient
awaiting an organ transplant.
- Pilot Resource Management - Pilots are the heart and soul of Angel Flight NE
- Without their selfless generosity, Angel
Flight would be unable to fulfill its mission.
- Three part-time staff members, coordinate with pilots to:
- disseminate flight info,
- convey airport advisories,
- distribute safety information
- manage pilot recruitment,
- manage pilot orientation, and
- manage pilot credentialing.
- Flight Safety Initiative - The
safety of our patients and pilots is of paramount concern to Angel Flight
- While we have always put
safety first, our new comprehensive flight safety
initiative is broader in scope.
- We now have a Flight Safety Officer, who provides our pilots with:
- ongoing safety information,
- periodic flight checks, and
- group meetings for
discussions on important flight issues.
- To donate to this Initiative specifically, please give to the Andrew Rossignol Memorial Fund.
- Outreach - without the patients and those that support them, Angel Flight wouldn't exist
- To spread the word about our free services--so we can help more people in need--we must reach out to
- medical institutions throughout the Northeast,
- fraternal organizations,
- other civic groups, and
- news media.
- Our outreach personnel must plan and make visits, disseminate information and to follow up.
- Technology - up-to-date technology helps us serve more people, more efficiently
- Software and hardware helps us:
- Coordinate and manage the nearly 5,000 flights scheduled each year
- Stay in touch with patients and pilots,
- Manage the ground operation at
Angel Flight
