| As the chief of medical oncology and hematology at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton, Dr. Karim Malek knows firsthand how precious and fragile life can be.
It’s the reason that he follows his passions and is constantly seeking out new adventures, whether it be learning to fly an airplane or scuba diving with sharks — or scaling tall mountains, as he plans to do this summer as part of his next transnational excursion.

| WAYLAND — On wings of hope, Angel Flight Northeast flies thousands of flights each year allowing patients to access medical treatments that are often out-of-state and financial reach – for free. One of their pilots, Charles Tillett of Wayland, is a feather among those wings. Since 2002, Tillett has channeled his passion for flying into 56 missions for Angel Flight. Many of his passengers live in remote areas far from specialized medical care. Others are seeking treatments not available near their homes.

| SANFORD, Maine — SIS Bank held its Annual Corporators Meeting in March, and three Corporators were chosen at random to select a charity to receive a $1,000 donation. David Ouellette selected the Sanford Food Pantry as his charity of choice, Allen Moulton designated Angel Flight Northeast and Patrice Aprile selected Goodall Hospital.

| NORTH ANDOVER, MA & NEW YORK, NY, October 18th, 2011 – Angel Flight Northeast (AFNE) announced today it is partnering with the Jeffrey Modell Foundation (JMF), a global nonprofit organization dedicated to combating Primary Immunodeficiency (PI) Diseases, a defect in the immune system that is carried through the genes of children and adults. There are over 150 PI diseases that affect more than 10 million children worldwide today. The partnership between Angel Flight Northeast and the Jeffrey Modell Foundation will be established under JMF’s “Roots & Wings” program which provides travel and related support for families whose children have been identified with a potentially life threatening illness, and require a life-saving treatment.

After the terrorist attacks on New York City and Washington, D.C. on September 11, 2001, commercial airspace throughout the country was virtually shut down—but Angel Flight America pilots were granted special permission to fly more than 100 emergency missions that included family members, firemen, blood, and other supplies. The dog pictured above is wearing booties similar to the ones that Angel Flight transported for the Search and Rescue dogs at Ground Zero."
