9:45-10:30 Getting Into and Out of Logan Safely and Efficiently
Presenter: Bob Francis, Boston Tower
An overview of procedures at Boston highlighting commonly used runway configurations. The presentation will include operations with approach control as well as on the ground to make them more user friendly and eliminate surprises.
10:45 –11:30 Improving Pilot/ATC Communications
Presenter: Bob Adelizzi, Boston TRACON & FAASTeam Representative
This interactive discussion will examine several incidents caused by a breakdown of communications by pilots and controllers. Review communication errors and improve your situational awareness.

11:45 –12:30 Severe Weather Avoidance & Getting the Most from Onboard Weather
Presenter: Nick Gregory, AFNE Volunteer Pilot & WNYW (FOX5) Chief Meteorologist
This session will explore the techniques of reading the weather either on board or during preflight. Watching the radar and their trends and determine which direction to fly, which to avoid. Learn how to read and fly safe in ugly weather situations.
